Mucho Stuff

OKay, I just spent the last 20 minutes reading through Emily and Kali's blog posts, which has inspired me to update on mine. Thanks, guys. =]

~Today I have a softball game at 2:00, which is awesome cuz it's the first championship game for best 2 out of 3, but it's pretty sucky since I might not be able to go to Maddie and Hannah's party since their party thingy starts in the middle of the game. =[
~We took the Living Environment Regents on Thursday, even though, as I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before, I'm only 13, and my school is sadistic for making us 7th graders take a 9th grade regents exam. I don't know what my score is, but I'm probably gonna find out on Monday.
~School ends this Friday! Eeep!!!! I'm sooo happy cuz it's finally gonna be summer vacation, but I'm sad since I've made so many new friends over the year, plus I still <3 my old besties, and I'm gonna miss them. =[ Especially people who I don't see outside of school, like Manjekar and Jason, and meanie people who are going away to Guyana over the summer and leaving me here..... *coughcough**Chanel**coughcough* =P
~I'm finally getting into the series The Friendship Ring by Rachel Vail, which I've been meaning to do. And, I finally got to read This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. Awesome book, dudes. ("Hate Spinnerbait." xD) Hopefully I'll be able to read more of Sarah Dessen's books sometime soon.
~I got to go to the carnival/fair thingamathingy that my Church did last night, and I got to go with Evan, Mahreen, Nikki, Billie and Gracie, so it was mad fun =]. I had a flippin' blast last night! The fair is supposed to continue on tonight and tomorrow night, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna go, since it's supposed to rain.......
Aaaaand...... yeah. That's it for now, I guess. OH, and also, my life has turned into a "Poorly thought out teenage soap opera". Yeah...... do NOT ask me. Or Manjekar. But yeah.....
Peace and Hufflemuffins,
~CJ

P.S. Hate Spinnerbait. xD

I'll fix the colors of the past posts so it doesn't seem like I'm colorblind tomorrow, since I'm really tired right now......

Later, peeps!

So Sorry

Hey, everyone. Just so ya'll know, I'm still alive here! Sorry to disappoint you, Chanel.
So yeah, Curacao was great, and Nikki and I had tons of fun. So much has happened that I haven't been able to post about, mostly because I haven't had much time to be online. At my school, we get bombed with tons of homework every night, and quizzes and tests at least once a week, PLUS projects. If you don't believe me, just ask Chanel, cuz she's in my class so she knows what I mean.

So yeah. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still around and that I'm sorry for not posting for so long. I'll try to keep up as best as I can.

Oh, before I forget again. I made an account at fanfiction.net. The link is www.fanfiction.net/~daughterofday.

Curacao

OKay, I better make this quick, since it's 8:42 at night and I'm kinda pressed for time right now.

First of all, happy Spring Break everyone!!!!! Yeah, I know it's Sunday, and I'm kinda late on that one, but whatever.

Second, Happy Easter Sunday to ya'll!!!!!! Today I woke up at 4:50 in the morning because Dad and I went to the Easter Sunday dawn Mass, which was at 6:00 am. O.o Did I mention the Mass was held outside of the church??? Yeah, I froze by butt out there... I was visibly shivering for the whole Mass. And I'll probably have to go again next year. -_- Thanks, Dad. Love ya, too.

Thirdly, Nikki and I are going to Curacao tomorrow!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! Yayness to the 10th!!!!! We'll be there from Monday (tomorrow) and we'll get back Sunday morning. The only down sides are 1) I doubt I'll get on a computer at the resort (we're staying at Breezes Resort, BTW, for anyone that feels like Google-ing it) so I won't be in touch with my friends back home for a week, as I don't have a cell phone. Not to mention that I won't be able to email a certain someone for a week..... -_-
And 2) I have to get up at 5 am again tomorrow so we can all catch the 9:30 flight. (we have to be there two hours before the plane takes off, at 7:30 -_-)

Fourthly, I am now obsessed with the emoticon -_-. Can't you tell? I've used it..... *counts*.... four times in this post, including just now. xD I also now love the emote O.o Hooray for irregularly shaped eyes!!!! W00T W00T!

Fifthly, I'm addicted to the song Dirty Little Secret by the All-American Rejects. That song is awefantous! (a word I just made up on the spot. Let's hear it for made up words!!!)

Yeah, that's it for now. Mom's calling me, so I guess it's time for me to go.

I'll see ya'll when I get back from my fanfabsome (also made up on the spot) vacation. Goodnight!!!!!

Hooray for Friday!!!!!

OMG that rhymed!!! tehe.

OKay, so it's Friday night, and a whole bunch of stuff has happened today that I felt like blogging about.
Numero Uno: Today my school had a dress down day, which I was super-happy about since we haven't had one since.... I can't even remember when our last one was! Wow.

Numb-ah Two: We got our report cards today! I'm so relieved that I got a 98.71 overall average, because that means I only dropped about .18 point(s) I also beat out the two smartest kids in my class, which is an added bonus, even though I did feel a little bad about it, since they're both my friends.

Number Eleventy-Purple-Orange: Tonight I went to a play at my dad's school with Nikki. He's an English teacher at Townsend Harris High School, and every year he directs the play there. I know I liked it, but I'm not sure if I can say the same for Nik, since I think she might've dozed off on my shoulder once or twice. (xD kidding)

So yah, that pretty much wraps it up for now. See ya later, everyone!

Lists of Stuff

Wow, is that an awesome title or WHAT?????

Yeah, sometimes when my brain is cluttered, it helps if I list everything out. THis time, I decided to turn my list(s) into a blog post.

Books I am in the Middle of Reading:
  • Prove It! You
  • The Screwtape Letters
  • Blood Bound
  • 1st to Die: A Woman's Murder Club Novel
  • The Time Travelers
  • Fairest **I haven't started it yet, but I just bought it and I want to get around to it sometime before it begins to collect dust**
Stories I am in the Middle of Writing:
  • My PJATO fanfic
  • Song of the Siren
  • My OtherSide Story
  • My Maximum Ride fanfic
Okay, that helped a bunch. Now I'm going to try to get cracking on one of the stories, see if my muse comes to me and strikes me with literary insight or something.

Pon and Zi

Okay, so this is basically my new obsession: Pon and Zi. They're these adorable little emo-ish cartoon characters. Chances are you've seen them before, but you just don't realize it.

Okay, from what I've gathered, Pon is the blue girl, and Zi is the yellow boy. Sometimes you see a little pinkish person, but I'm not really sure who that is yet.
I think the basic storyline is that they're madly in puppy love, or at least Zi is madly in puppy love with Pon, because sometimes she seems to return his feelings, but sometimes she doesn't really seem to notice.
But it's so adorable and wubbable how sweet Zi tries to be and how strong and brave and manly he tries to be around Pon. Evidently, he's failing at the whole "manly" thing, because when you see him you get the urge to just pick him up and hug him like a teddy bear, but still!!! It's SO cute!!! I bet if more guys were like Zi, tons more guys would be getting dates.**Dunno if the guy is Pon or Zi, I'm just guessing here!!!!!**
Here's a link to an unofficial Pon and Zi site that I've seen a bit of: [link]

And here's a couple of pics, cuz they're just so cute that I had to put it up:

Knowing

Nikki and I saw that new movie Knowing yesterday!!! The plot was actually really good-- it was about a little boy who finds a piece of paper filled with random numbers in his school's time capsule from 50 years ago. He takes the paper home, and his dad discovers that the paper lists every major natural disaster for the past 50 years in perfect sequence-- the date, location, how many people died, etc. The dad tracks who had written the numbers, and finds it was a little girl who had gone to the school 50 years ago. He finds the girl's-- Lucinda's-- daughter and granddaughter and ask them to please help them, because not only are there only 2 more disasters listed on the paper, but he thinks his son is in danger, because these mysterious people keep coming to him, though they haven't harmed him yet.

If you want the full synopsis, you can Google it.
Just so you know, the ending basically fell flat. I won't tell ya'll how it ends, in case anyone else decides to see it, but trust me, it is.

Gonna go to a bridal shower today for my mom's cousin who I didn't even know existed until now. Urgh.

Well, that's pretty much it for now. But before I go, I just wanna say-- I thank God for giving guys the attention spans of rodents and for them not being able to remember what made them angry 5 minutes ago.

Today's Threes

Okay, so now that it's Friday, and the week is only a few days from being over, let's have today's threes, shall we?

Top 3 Favorite Moments:
  1. Playing basketball in gym with my besties (including Chanelly) and ALMOST winning!!! Hooray for tie games!!!!!
  2. Talking about Twilight with two guys on my bus, including "So-and-so", who looked VERY good with his sleeves rolled up today.
  3. Finally finishing Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead, which is the 3rd book in the Vampire Academy series.
Top 3 Least Favorite Moments:
  1. Having to read an EXTREMELY boring book in Humanities class today.
  2. Seeing how gross the lunch table had been left for us-- AGAIN. Those guys in 704 are such slobs.
  3. Hearing someone talk badly about one of my friends right in front of me-- and watching someone else who I like to hang out with sometimes laugh at what Dipstick1 had said about her.
Top 3 Songs This Week:
  1. Dear Mr. President-- P!nk [link]
  2. Come Back-- Lesley Roy [link]
  3. Sweet Dreams-- Eurythmics [link]
Top 3 Books This Week:
  1. Shadow Kiss By Richelle Mead
  2. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
  3. My Brother Sam is Dead by James and Chris Collier (Not that I like it-- quite the contrary. It's just that this was the book I had to read for Humanities class, and I couldn't think of another book for this week.)
My 3 Goals for This Week:
  1. To brush up on my softball skills (or lack thereof.....)
  2. To be more all around more active.
  3. To study for tests/quizzes more.
Follow-Up on Last Time's Goals:
  1. I've been trying to watch what I eat, but sometimes temptation is difficult to resist.....
  2. I've also been trying to work on my stories, but with homework, school, friends, family, and just plain old laziness, I haven't really had time. Will try to try harder.
  3. I've been working on that, and I think I'm working towards my goal well. Might elaborate in a separate post, might not. I'll see.
Well, that pretty much wraps it up for now. See you around, ya'll!!!!

New York State Math Test 2

Okay, I took Part 2 of the New York State Standardized Mathematics Exam today, so now it's FINALLY OVER!!!!!!! WHOOOO!!!!!!!!! That is, until next year of course......... dang it.

I know I got a few questions wrong, even though I checked over my work...... but whatever. They were stupid mistakes, I know where I went wrong.... blah, blah, blah.
And yes, I DID check over my work!!!! OH!!! WHAT NOW!!!!!! And I WASN'T thinking about how cute "so-and-so" looks with his sleeves rolled up!!!!! Mostly because he didn't have his sleeves rolled up when the test was in session, but....... that's beside the point.

Anyway.

So now I'm bored, and hungry, and kinda tired, and I want to do something, but I'm not sure what, and..... yeah. If you have something funny/entertaining/you just HAVE to put in you comment to say........ drop a line.

New York State Math Test

So yes. As you can tell from the title, I've got to take Part 1 of the New York State Standardized Mathematics Exam tomorrow. Urgh. Just kill me now.

It's not like I'm bad in math or anything-- quite the opposite, I got a perfect score on this thing last year. It's just that the test is so boring, and I'm scared that I'll make stupid mistakes that I won't realize I've made or something, because that's really what winds up happening with me. And I also have a hard time checking my work sometimes. I mean, I JUST took the test maybe 5 SECONDS AGO- WHY THE HECK WOULD I WANT TO HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN???? This is usually my state of mind by the time I'm finished. But by then I've got maybe 20 minutes left to go, and I'll usually just start to space out, as per usual. I might end up starting to think about what's for lunch, what's happening next in this book I'm reading, how so-and-so looks so cute with his sleeves rolled up...
You get the picture. And I know this is kind of last minute, but does anyone have any idea how I can keep my mind on the test and just flippin' check my work before time's up so I know I've done all I can do???? Thank ya.
Until then, I'll just have to try to keep my mind from wandering......... not an easy task, rest assured.
Okay, that's about it for now. Later, people!

Snow Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I didn't have to go to school because there was so much snow the buses couldn't come and the roads were blocked!!!!!!!!! Yayness!!!!!!!!
So yeah, today I wrote a bit, read a bit, ate, watched T.V., went on the computer, went bikini shopping (oh, yeeeaaaaah) and...... ate. So yeah, clearly I have an exciting life.
What's awesome was that Chanel, Nikki, Maura, and Joey all had off too! Rachel didn't have off though, and neither did Emily or Kali, I don't think. If they did, they weren't on when I was on.... gr. And Spencer wasn't on when I was on, either, but I don't think he goes to school. So yeah.....
Well, I guess that pretty much raps it up for now.
Catch Ya Later,

[Insert Title Here]

Okay, so yesterday I finished this book called Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, lent to me by my sister-in-spirt/a-past-life Maura!

It was a really awesome book, full of action and suspense and humor and, of course, romance. But come on, it's me we're dealing with, remember? Of COURSE it's got romance!
It was really cool and a very good read, but I wouldn't recommend it to kids under the age of 12, just as a heads up.
So yeah. Just thought I would post that, just because I wanted to post something and that was the first thing that came to mind.
So yes.
Oh! And also, my class took Part 1 of our Living Environment midterm exam today, and Part 2 is tomorrow! Eeep!!!!
Oh! And also-also, my humanities/homeroom teacher gave birth on...... the 22nd, I think it was. So now we have a sub, which would be awesome, except the woman we got is an absolute witch. Urgh.
Oh! And also-also-also..... um..... okay, I don't have an also-also-also, but I just wanted to type out also-also-also, so THERE.
Peace and Hufflemuffins
CJ
P.S.-- Maura, tell your friend to hurry her butt with Frostbite (The sequel to Vampire Academy) FAST!!!!!! I'm exploding here!!!!!

Things to Remember On Valentine's Day (For the Single):

  1. On Valentine's Day, even if you're not with someone, you can still have fun .(Even if that sort of defeats the purpose of Valentine's Day.)
  2. If a girl tells you that the way you've got your shirt tied back isn't cute, roll your eyes and walk away. But if you're friend advises you on how you could wear it better, take the advice.
  3. If your crush is having trouble asking a girl out, help him, even if it means loosing him to your best friend.
  4. If your best friend is trying to decide whether to go out with your crush or not, try to offer the best advice you can, even if you've never had a boyfriend before.
  5. Get high on Milky Ways on the bus in the morning with your friends, and don't regret it.
  6. It's fine to buy yourself a necklace on Valentine's Day...... why sit around waiting for someone else to buy one for you?
  7. It's cool for you and your buddies to be each other's Valentines....... even if you're all girls, because you all know you're joking.
  8. It doesn't matter if you're horrible at basketball, someone else is always as bad as you are. And if you hit a cheerleader in the leg when you try to shoot a foul shot....... well, that's just an added bonus.
Yes, all of that advice comes from experience. My experiences last Friday, as a matter of fact.
Peace and Hufflemuffins

P.S.-- I didn't find answers to any of the questions from the previous post yet. Oh, well.

Soul Mates

Okay, so I've been having a lot of thoughts about love lately, and I thought that with Valentine's Day coming up, maybe I should post some:

First of all, are we all really made for someone/is someone really made for us, of is that all a bunch of garbage? I mean, people say that we're born with a perfect match, and we just have to find him, but is that really true? And if it is, are we born with a "perfect match", or do we develop one?
And, have you ever noticed how sometimes, you could meet someone, and not have any romantic feelings towards them whatsoever, and maybe even think they're a little annoying/weird/nerdy/gross/etc., but then all of a sudden you fall in love with them, and they turn out to be your soulmate? Well, if we're going with the whole "we're all made for someone else" concept, then was that guy we fell for our soulmate from the start, and it just took some time to realize it, or did the "perfect match" thing take a while to kick in?
Something else: in some comments in a previous post, Chanel asked me what would happen if a priest and nun fell in love. What would/could they do about it? In answer to your question, Chanel, I'm not exactly sure what would happen. I'm pretty sure that it's just tough luck, and there's nothing either of them can do about it. I mean, they've committed themselves to God, so there's really nothing you can do about that, is there?
Well, that's all for now, I guess. I'll post again if I come up with any more questions, or if any of these questions are answered.

Just Friends

You know, when a girl likes a guy, most of the time, if he doesn't like her back, she can be found crying "I can't live without him........ I can't be just friends............" etc. I'm like that sometimes, too. It's a natural thing.

However, I've recently learned something really important:
If you like a guy, and he finds out, and he's still as awesome towards you as ever, then he is definitely a friend worth keeping.
Don't say that if you can't be his girlfriend, you can't be his anything. That's not true. If he still wants to be your friend, and if he still acts like a friend, well then....... be his friend, dang it!
I just wanted to get that out there, because I like a guy who knows it, doesn't like me back, and I'm still pretty happy. He's an awesome guy, and I count myself lucky to be his friend. <3
